IESPS: UV Inquiry
1. Requirement for test materials: bring one item to test on Tuesday, Sept. 28 for a 10 point grade. Examples are sunscreen, plexiglass, plastic, eyeglasses, sunglasses, old clothing, glass. Testing clothing you are wearing is worth 5/10. Two or more items gets 15/10.
2. Background information for introduction. Possible topics:

IESPS: lab notes 9/20/10
This pdf file shows the analysis of our spectrum/color data. It has the electron total for each substance or element, along with the approximate number of lines we saw with the spectroscopes. Electrons and light are connected: excited by heat or electricity, atoms will give off light as their electrons jump to higher energy levels, then fall back to ground state. Light is called electromagnetic radiation.
